What is a ‘real-time booking engine’?
A real-time booking engine is the page on your Bitebank website where a patient can select a time and date for an appointment and request the spot that they want. The system then reserves the spot and a receptionist or office admin approves the appointment in the Nexus™ software.
Is there a contract?
We have no on-going contracts - it’s simply a month to month subscription service. You are free to move away from us without any cost. We are proud to say we have about 99% retention on practices that sign up with us.

I am concerned about privacy using Notification Nexus™ and your platform. Is it HIPPA (US) or PIPEDA (Can) compliant?
Yes - we are not actually recording any patient information or entering into your Practice Management system itself, our product works independently. We are pulling basic information relating to a doctor's schedule, and then using phone and email information for patient notification which is allowed within the legislation relating to Canada or the USA.
What do you mean by it reduces ‘no-shows’
No-shows are when a patient has made an appointment but then doesn’t show up, costing the practice both time and money. Notification Nexus™ reduces no shows by actively reminding clients that an appointment is coming up, and also giving them the opportunity to cancel, leaving you time to secure another appointment.

Can I use it by itself i.e. I have a competitors site.
Yes Notification Nexus™ is available if you do not have a website with Bitebank Media, however, the booking engine will not be available for use in this case. Bitebank Media offers website solutions, please contact us at 1-888-575-7932 for further information.
How long does it take to train employees?
It takes about 15-20 minutes to train someone depending on the questions one might have. its a very easy to use. Installation and setup times can vary depending on the practice, number of providers, number of existing appointments and the type of PMS.
Can you come and train our staff?
We are a software company with customers in various countries. We are always available to train people through remote demo or over the phone.
What methods does the system use to connect with patients?
The system uses email as well as text messaging, also called ‘SMS’.
What is your ‘1 year Guarantee’?
We are confident in Notification Nexus™, use the system for a year - if you don’t triple your investment, we will give you another full year for free!
If I use Notification Nexus™ does it void the warranty on my PMS?
No - we are not actually ‘writing’ into your PMS system without approval from the company. Notification Nexus™ is just ‘reading’ information. There are some companies who ‘write’ directly into the PMS please contact us for our current list.
How come you don’t support my PMS system?
Our aim is to support all the major PMS’s systems in the market place, however, there are various companies with various versions with different types of architectures. We support all the major large PMS’s. We can schedule a remote into your system to see if an integration is possible.
I'm too small of a practice to invest in - I only have 1 doctor
Actually, Notification is perfect for smaller practices, as it helps to save time and manage patient traffic and appointments. Great! This will actually help them manage their time and make them more efficient. It's designed to make life easier so they can focus on patient care and also makes sure nothing drops through the cracks and as many patients come back as possible. Try it out for a couple of months and see how it goes - if you don't agree, we'll refund the difference between your website and bundle plan.
I am already using Demandforce and tied into a contract for it
We have a lot of clients who have moved from Demandforce to Notification Nexus™ and are glad they did! What we can do is give you Notifcation Nexus™ for free while the contract is running, simply show us proof of when it runs (an invoice or a screen shot).
I am already using or planning on using the recall/reminder component of our scheduling system (so far AbelDent, Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
These systems offer very basic features and are not automatic notification systems as such. They just track which clients are open to texts and emails - our system actually works with your PMS to send out patient reminders, manage recalls, e-newsletters, birthday wishes and tracks revenue from all these activities. On top of this we offer a 'Real time booking engine' which means that your appointments page on your website actually shows available time slots! I already use a Patient Reminder Service what is the benefit of me moving to Bitebank?
There are a few good patient reminders systems, however these providers do not have real time booking on your website. The reviews and appointment form pages from such as Demandforce are unfortunately in the form of iframes which affect your search engine ranking significantly. Basically, the piece of code that is embedded on your website does not match your website branding. Also demandforce does not have advanced recall options like the “smart patient” lists that we provide. We offer one company, one account manager, one login and bundled pricing - all billed monthly simply through our system at one low monthly rate with no contract. We also install a software program on your computer so there is an icon for the program available on your desktop - the program is not run off the server.
